I have used Paul personally to assist in obtaining building regulations for a renovation project and professionally in obtaining planning permission for clients of my estate agency business. In all cases Paul has delivered a prompt and reliable service with excellent results. Likewise a number of my developer clients use him for the design of new homes – these plans are always prepared with a keen eye for detail and emphasis upon the needs of the future owner. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Paul to any of my clients or friends for architectural services.
My wife and I were fortunate enough to be introduced to Paul Matthews when we made the decision to apply to extend our family home in Holmfirth. An extremely personable professional, Paul provided us with the direction, sound knowledgeable advice as well as additional solutions (when called upon) to assist us in securing the planning consent and building regulations required to progress with the build. Throughout the build Paul remained in touch with us, often visiting the site to engage with the builders and ourselves to ensure all parties were happy. Additionally; Paul was always on the end of the phone when we needed to run building challenges and new additional extension ideas past him, which ensured that the finished product surpassed our original brief in terms of size and layout (internally and externally). We are delighted to be able to refer Paul to prospective new clients and have referred him to several Friends of ours since our own building works were completed, and each time the feedback from them echoed our own.
We appointed Paul to prepare plans for a property we purchased. It was a neglected, detached split level house. We found Paul a pleasure to deal with, his vision, ideas and designs were first class. Paul was always available and willing with any advice when needed.
Upon completion of the extensions and renovation, the property was nominated by a neighbour for a Huddersfield Civic Society design award. The property went on to win this which is testimony to Pauls involvement.
I cannot recommend Paul highly enough and will definitely be using him again for any future projects.
When we decided to extend our property a friend recommended Paul and after viewing their extension we engaged him to design ours. From the very beginning Paul was reassuring and enthusiastic about our project. He took great care to listen to what we said we wanted the building to achieve and how we wanted it to look. We had no idea how to negotiate the planning process and he guided us through every step. We always felt we could contact him and ask questions and he was reliably there for us. Above all, we are delighted with our new extension which meets our needs exactly. We would have no hesitation in recommending him.
Paul listened to our requests and incorporated our ideas into the building design beautifully. His knowledge of the planning process is exemplary and the advice he gave was second to none. We now have a stunning bed and breakfast which many guests complement us on.
Paul Matthews Architectural provide a first class friendly service and were professional and enthusiastic from start to finish. They responded quickly to any questions raised and helped us to obtain a building regularisation certificate for past works done within 72 hours of first visiting site. Great work!
We would highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again in the future.
Paul was recommended to us by a friend and his service was excellent. His professional experience ensured that he dealt with most, if not all of the potential planning issues before our application was submitted. We would highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again in the future.
During the work Paul was constantly available to deal with any questions and issues that arose. He always answered the phone, and if he could not, he always called straight back, which is something we really appreciated. When I got off the phone with Paul I always felt reassured that I knew how to resolve an problem or that something was being dealt with for me.
Paul has also been happy to answer any small questions we have had after the completion of the build. He was a pleasure to deal with, stuck to his price and his communications were excellent.
